This page describes what this site actually does. It is short because the site is built to do almost nothing with your data.

What is not collected

  • No analytics. No Google Analytics, no tag manager, no pixels, no fingerprinting.
  • No cookies. The site sets none — which is why you are not being asked to dismiss a consent banner.
  • No accounts, forms, or submissions. There is no server-side code to receive them.
  • No third-party requests. Fonts, scripts, styles, images, and the search index are all served from this domain. Loading a page here contacts no advertising network, social platform, or CDN.
  • No local storage of your activity. The site does not save your search history or reading position between visits.

The research console downloads a search index from this domain and scores your query on your own device — in a background worker where your browser supports one. Queries are never transmitted, logged, or seen by anyone. Close the tab and the query is gone.

Hosting logs

The server that stores these files may keep ordinary technical logs — IP address, requested URL, timestamp, user agent — as standard hosting infrastructure for security and operations. That is the host's routine logging; this publication adds no tracking on top of it and builds no profiles from it.

If you email the desk

Mail sent to the editorial address is used to answer you and to correct the site. It is not added to a marketing list — none exists — and is not sold or shared, except where the law requires.

Children

This site is a legal research publication for a general adult audience. It does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children, because it does not collect information at all.

If this changes

Any future addition that touches reader data would be described here in plain language before it operates, not disclosed retroactively. No absolute security guarantee is offered; no honest website can make one.
